"Shutting the Gates"
Shutting the Gates is a docu-drama based on extensive interviews with customers and former salespeople of in-home sales companies. All of the dialogue in the film is verbatim, taken directly from interviews with these people, and from a script from a sales company.
Shutting the Gates is not a documentary - the roles are played by actors - but it is filmed in a documentary style to give the story a documentary “feel”. The film was released in March, 2010.
The film was a finalist at the 2010 St Kilda Film Festival, and has been screened in Australia, the United Kingdom and Italy.
